We have covered some heavy topics and gone through some books! I want to make sure I didn't lose anyone along the way! ROLL CALL! When you say it, you have to say it with some authority. It causes the listeners to stop and pay attention. In the military, roll call is to keep an account of soldiers. In my book club community, we have an activity called "Roll Call." This is where each member of the book club tells how she is honestly doing, and what's going on with her physically, mentally, emotionally, etc. The members respond with an honest answer (Not the automatic, "I'm fine" when you're not)! This is so that we keep a check on ourselves and let the other members know we are thinking of them, praying for them, and/or rejoicing with them!
When was the last time you reached out to someone to check on their well-being? It is very easy to get caught up in the affairs of this world and the routines of the day to remember that you need to check yourself and check on your community. Life is precious and time is valuable. Appreciate both.
So, my sister, I'm saying to you! "ROLL CALL"!
The "Roll Call" keeps me accountable and truthful. How many times have we told lies? We have said we're fine when we're not and put up with things that doesn't work in our best interest just because it's best for someone else. Well, I've learned "God loves a truth teller!" This is Truth Teller Tricia saying I'm in a uncertain season, but I have a "Certain God!" That's my truth for today. Vatoyia thanks for sharing so much light and truth in your blog. Keep it up Sis!
