We have been discussing heavy topics and I think now is a great time to soothe our minds for a bit. This is our safe space so let’s get cozy. One of my favorite genres to help settle myself is mysteries. I like thrillers and whodunits. I read one cozy mystery (a subgenre of mystery) and was immediately hooked! I also discovered the following facts about boosting creativity:
Working on puzzles, reading murder mysteries, and performing research all count. When you solve a whodunit or discover a new connection, your brain’s neural reward processing signal is activated, and that helps increase your power of insight.

In my search for highlighting authors of color and using audiobooks more, I hit the jackpot! Let me introduce you to the cozy mystery books of Tyora Moody (The Eugenna Paterson Mystery Series and Valerie Burns (Baker Street Mystery Series).

These two African-.American female authors will have readers on the edge of their seats while laughing at the same time! At the same time, I have to give flowers to the narrators Sharell Plamer (The Eugenna Patterson Mystery Series) and Jasmin Walker (Baker Street Mysteries). The authors did an excellent job creating these characters and making them realistic and relatable!
