We are almost at the end of April and it’s time to take inventory! We have discussed self-care, finances, and empowerment. Literature has been printed about what to do, but let’s formulate a game plan of HOW to do it!
Recently during the WOL (Women of Light) book club meeting, my sisters all made powerful observations and statements. One that sticks out to me is that we know what to do but do we know HOW to do it? This is where the real work kicks in! I’m going to add to that. We need to give ourselves time (and grace) to implement what we have read. Whatever state we currently find ourselves in (mentally, physically, financially, etc) we need to give ourselves TIME to improve. Improvement looks different for different people.

We have to celebrate our progress as we make positive changes. Adjustments and moving forward is not always a straight path. We have to be attentive to ourselves in a manner that allows us to recognize when we need a break. That's why it's important for us to slow down and reflect on how to refill our cup. Ask ourselves questions like what is my body saying? How do I need to give my body, mind, and spirit what it needs? It could be as simple as a spa day or as lengthy as an extended self-cation.
