Can you believe it? We are knocking on the door of May! This year is going by at a rapid speed! Let’s pause to catch our breath! Inhale. Exhale. While you are taking a breath, let me take a moment to tell you that I found myself in the memoir Nothing is MIssing: A Memoir of Living Bodly by Nicole Walters. SIS! If you have not read this, please get a copy! I was gifted this book from a sister in my book club and it was chosen for our April read. I have to tell you, IT WAS LIKE THAT! This book is rare for me because it’s not too many books that I can read and say, “OMG! This is me!” I made that statement several times while reading this book.

This memoir was informative and well as inspiring. The above picture is my copy and the colored flags indicate situations the author gave advice or insight that I can apply to situations I’m dealing with or have encountered recently. (Yes, I love matching my bookmark to the color of the book I'm reading.) I love the way the book is written! Nicole Waters used pseudonyms to protect people and gave enough information to reveal her wisdom/advice without sharing too much personal information. She shares her experiences being a woman of color and how her faith in God caused her to triumph.
This is a must-read!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book too! I think I highlighted something on every page. This is definitely one of the best reads we've encountered through WOL Book Club. I'm looking forward to her next book.
