I have to take time to salute all the MOTHERS!!!! Giving birth to a child does not make you a mother (although much respect for going through the process!). I appreciate my mom not only showing up for me but also showing out! She went the extra when others didn't even want to do the minimum. There aren't enough flowers, hearts, and candy I can give to the woman who saw my potential and pushed and encouraged me to reach it.
To all the women who don't have your moms physically, I say a prayer for you that the peace of God fills your hearts. I pray that the lessons your mom taught you are demonstrated in the way you live your lives now.
Lastly, I pray for mothers today who don't have their child/children to say, "Happy Mother's Day." Regardless of the circumstances or situations of why that child is not able to communicate with them, their mom is feeling some kind of way. I say to you, "Happy Mother's Day"!
In many of the biographies I have read, the author emphasized the important role their moms played in their lives and contributed to their success! I have also read how they have embraced motherhood and have shared their journey with us through their stories.
Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day is always bitter sweet for me because although it's been 18 years I will always miss my Mom and wish she was here to witness the moments I'm experiencing. I've learned to allow Mother's Day to be more sweet than bitter. I'm a Mom and Grandmother and boy oh boy does it bring me joy. My Mother's lessons are timeless and she will always live on through her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She fulfilled her purpose of establishing the legacy of Patricia Ann Jones and we'll continue it with what she's taught us and definitely pass it on. My daughter had the right idea when us shirts saying "Ain't No Mama Like the One I Got!"
